2025 Annual General Meeting

NOTICE OF 2025 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 
 

When: Tuesday 24 June 2025 commencing at 6:00pm

Where: Terrace Room, Settlers Inn Hotel Hastings River Drive

Who: All members of Port Macquarie Basketball Association are invited to attend the meeting in person. Current registered players over 18, financial members and Life Members will have voting rights. Parents of junior players are encouraged to become volunteer members to and secure voting rights. 

Nomination of Director:

Nominations are called for three (3) member elected Director positions that will become vacant this AGM.  Positions are for a two year term and more details regarding expectations of the role are included in the nomination form.

Nominations for Awarding of Life Membership:

According to Clause 5.1 of the PMBA Constitution - Life Members up to two Life Members may be elected by resolution at an annual General Meeting if the motion is passed by at least 75% of those members attending and eligible to vote.

Notice of Motion:

According to Clause 25 of the PMBA Constitution members entitled to vote can submit notices of motion in writing for inclusion as special business at a general meeting.

Voting:

• Life members and financial individual members over the age of 18 are entitled to vote at the AGM.

• All eligible members will be sent an email offering an opportunity to vote online using Election Runner. Any questions please contact secretary@portmacquariebasketball.com.au 

• Voting will also take place via written ballot in person at the meeting.

Appointment of Proxy: Any member entitled to vote can appoint another member as proxy to attend in their place. The Proxy form must be submitted by 6:00pm Sunday 22 June 2025. 

DEADLINES:

• Nominations for Director roles, Awarding of Life Membership and Notices of Motion can be downloaded from this page.

• Nomination forms must be lodged either electronically to secretary@portmacquariebasketball.com.au or returned to the PMBA office in the stadium by 5:00pm Saturday 31 May 2025. 

• Meeting agenda and nominations will be published on Tuesday 3 June 2025.
