Free Muster Days  Starting next week. Just show up. You don't need to RSVP. Anyone interested in improving their game is encouraged to come along to the free Muster Days which signal the start of the 2024 Representative Trials series. It is a great opportunity for everyone to get some skills and development training from our local coaches. If you're wondering what rep is like, join us for the Muster days. If you like what you see, sign up for the trials. If you love basketball and want to be a better player, rep is for you. You don't have to have a lot of previous experience or have played rep before. Our Sep/Oct school holiday camps will focus on building skills across a whole range of player groups! Whether you want to have fun with your firends, work on your ball handling or defensive moves there is a session for all ages groups and skill levels. Camps will be run on Thursday September 28th and Wednesday October 4th. Athletes can choose to attend either one or both days. Athletes are expected to bring their own basketball, drink bottle and lunch. Parents can order lunch from the Sideline Cafe when you drop your kids off in the morning and it will be delivered to your child at lunchtime. Register here to sign up for the camps.  

Come and attend our FREE referee course to be held at the Port Indoor Stadium. Gain some new skills and learn more about your favourite sport while you're at it. Ref's play a vital role in our association, and PMBA have even taken out the Ref Program of the Year award from BNSW in multiple years, including this one. Community Course Tuesday 21 February  7.15 - 8.45pm @ Port Macquarie stadium Basic introductory course teaching preparation, basic rules, signals and referee mechanics. Minimum age 12 years. Little Dribblers: Ages 3-6, Saturday mornings either 8:30 or 9:30am session.  Our little dribblers, boys and girls aged 3 - 6 years love playing basketball on hoops just their size with soft balls made especially for them. This is where the next generation of basketballers learn the basics while having fun. 

PMBA will be holding a free Community Referee Course this Tuesday Night 15th November 2022. This course is open to all new officials wishing to embark on a refereeing career or to any duty officials wishing to gain some knowledge to assist in doing their teams duty each week. Participants must be over the age of 12 years of age. Community Referee Course When: Tuesday 15th November 2022 Where: The Westport Club - Compass Room Time: 6-8pm Cost : FREE Participants will receive a workbook and whistle. At completion of the course there is an online exam which participants are required to complete prior to taking the court for on-court training on our competition nights. We encourage everyone to attend as refereeing is a great way for all to earn money and gain a new appreciation for the complexities of our game. Rep Trials start this Saturday! The stadium is available this weekend, and we’re excited to get rep trials underway this Saturday. We will now hold 3 trial days.  NEXT STEPS Mark the dates and times below in your diary Fill out the Rep EOI prior to Saturday so we have important information Email delegate@portmacquariebasketball.com.au if you’re unable to make any of the trials Bring a ball, towel, drink bottle    DATES Saturday, 15 October NEWLY ADDED Saturday, 22 October Saturday, 29 October TIMES 9AM to 11AM U11 (born 2013/2012) U13 (born 2011/2010)   11.30AM to 1.30PM - U15 (2009/2008) U17 (2007/2006) U19 (2005/2004)   All athletes trialling for a position in a PMBA Rep team for the 2023 season are expected to attend ALL rep trials. Any player unable to attend one or more of the trials should email asap with explanation to delegate@portmacquariebasketball.com.au to advise of their inability to attend noting date of absence/s. Likewise, players currently injured who are unable to trial but who wish to be considered for selection should also email with details of injury and date of expected return to sport. Injured players should still attend the trials.   WHAT TO WEAR Players should wear a reversible black/white or blue/white jersey to trials if they own one.
